The third meeting of the National Research Coordinators for the TIMSS 2027 cycle was held in Melbourne from July 20 to 25, 2025.
The meeting brought together representatives from numerous countries participating in the TIMSS 2027 study, including delegates from the Institute for Education Quality and Evaluation of Serbia: the Institute’s Director, Boris Stojkovski; National Research Coordinator for TIMSS, Danijela Đukić; and the study’s Data Manager, Biljana Nikić.
The conference featured a series of sessions and workshops focused on preparations for the field trial, with particular emphasis on national adaptations, translation, and translation verification.
Special attention was given to the contextual questionnaires and the review of mathematics and science items for the fourth and eighth grades. Working sessions included experience sharing and expert review of materials, contributing to the high-quality measurement of student achievement in the upcoming TIMSS cycle.
