Cooperation on Improving the Quality of Dual Education

The Acting Director of the Institute for Education Quality and Evaluation, Prof. Dr Boris Stojkovski, and the Deputy Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr Milan Gromović, visited the Mechanical‑Transport School in Čačak on 29 September 2026. Together with the school’s director, Vladan Poledica, they discussed the institution’s work and its cooperation with the Institute in the field of education quality.

Poledica presented various aspects of the school’s work and the numerous projects in which it takes part. The discussion highlighted the importance of cooperation with the Institute and coordination with other institutions in providing support to the school—both in its overall educational work and in the implementation of the dual education model.

The Mechanical‑Transport School implements the dual education model across several educational profiles in the fields of mechanical engineering, mechatronics, and textiles, in cooperation with companies and with the support of the Ministry of Education, the City of Čačak, and the Chamber of Commerce. Support for the implementation of dual education in secondary vocational schools is also provided by the Office for Dual Education and the National Qualifications Framework, as well as the Institute for Education Quality and Evaluation, within their respective mandates.

As part of its work on evaluating education quality, the Institute cooperates with the Office on the development of a platform for evaluating the quality of work of educational institutions. A memorandum signed in July 2025 foresees that this joint work will specifically include standards and specific indicators for dual education.
