Acting Director Prof. Dr Boris Stojkovski and Deputy Director, Research Associate Doc. Dr Milan Gromovic of the Institute for Education Quality of the Quality Education for All project, funded by the EU, held on 10 September 2026 in Belgrade.
In addition to IEQE representatives, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Council of Europe, the Ministry of Education, and the Institute for the Improvement of Education.
Participants reviewed the activities carried out so far and the results achieved, with particular emphasis on the significant progress made during the project’s implementation. It was noted that the number of schools involved exceeded initial plans and that the results achieved have been highly encouraging.
Schools from almost the entire territory of Serbia took part in the project, which aims to foster democratic culture among students and strengthen empathy and solidarity. These activities are particularly significant in the context of the Week of Remembrance and Togetherness, implemented in schools in memory of the innocent victims of the tragedy at Vladislav Ribnikar Primary School in Belgrade.
Promotion of dialogue, mutual respect, tolerance, empathy, and strengthening friendship and solidarity among students and all participants in education represents a shared goal of all institutions involved in the Quality Education for All project.
IEQE’s commitment, having contributed significantly to the project implementation from the outset, to continuing cooperation with the Council of Europe on this and other initiatives is aligned with the Education Strategy until 2030 of the Ministry of Education.
The Quality Education for All project, supported by the Council of Europe and the European Union Mission, proposes a set of complementary policy-level measures aimed at further improving the quality of education.
