On Monday, 6 April 2026, at 12:00, a press conference was held at the premises of the Institute for Education Quality and Evaluation, organised jointly with Prosvetni pregled. The event presented newly published collections of test papers from previous final examinations in primary education, covering the period from the 2015/2016 to the 2024/20225 academic year.

For many years, the Institute, in cooperation with Prosvetni pregled, has been publishing preparation materials for the final examination taken by eight-grade pupils in primary schools.

In addition to the well-established collections of tasks for the final examination, which contain a large number of practice exercises, this year students will also have access to collections of test papers from previous mock and final examinations. These materials allow them to assess their knowledge either independently or during preparatory lessons at school.

The collections include tasks from mock final and final examinations over the past ten years. They are organised into separate volumes covering Serbian language, mathematics, and an elective test, which includes questions from history, geography, biology, physics and chemistry.

In order to give primary school students sufficient time to prepare at their own pace for the upcoming final examination, the test collections will be available for purchase from Monday, 6 April 2025.

Boris Stojkovski, Director of the Institute for Education Quality and Evaluation, emphasised that the Institute oversees the development and preparation of tasks for final examination tests. In this context, both the task collections and the test collections are methodically aligned with the final examination and represent an essential component of students’ preparation for the next stage of education, namely secondary school.

The primary purpose of the collections of test papers from previous final examinations is to familiarise pupils with the types of tasks they will encounter in the June examination, and to enable them to practice independently, or during preparatory classes while assessing their knowledge. If pupils practice diligently, these collections can significantly contribute to their success in the final examination. Approximately one hundred teachers from primary and secondary schools, as well as universities, participated in the development of the tasks, ensuring high quality across all required elements. Their experience guarantees that the tasks are aligned with teaching practice, curricula, and standards of educational achievement.

These collections of final examination test papers are unique on the domestic market.

Olja Ćorović from Prosvetni pregled highlighted that the collections will enable pupils to test their knowledge and engage in additional practice through repeated testing.

The publications are available for purchase in bookshops of Službeni glasnik, Zavod za udžbenike, as well as other bookshops across Serbia.

The price of all three collections together is 3,600 dinars, while each individual collection costs 1,200 dinars.

Milan Gromović, Deputy Director of the Institute, underlined the importance of systematic preparatory teaching and responded to journalists’ questions regarding the contemporary crisis of reading and reading comprehension observed across European education systems. Through national and international research, as well as participation in educational reforms, the Institute continuously works on improving young people’s reading literacy and adapting national tests to this modern challenge, by enhancing both format and content in line with educational standards.
